Iraq hands over 1980s Iranian dead bodies

Basra/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraq handed over the remnants of 165 Iranian dead bodies who were killed in
the Iraqi-Iranian war in 1980s.
The exchange ceremony took place in bordering Shalamcha outlet, east of Basra province.
It was the 53rd. Dispatch of remnants' exchange between the two countries.
The identification of 114 of the remnants were known, and the rest were unknown, the sources added.
The bodies were found in Majnoun oilfield, Um al-Rasas Island, Missan and Wassit provinces.
The first remnants' exchange between Iraq and Iran was held on 25 June, 1996.
