Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: An armed group called itself "The Supporters of the Oppressed"
threatened to attack the US embassy in Baghdad and "its agents" through a video published on the social media of Face book.
The video announcement showed five masked gunmen, one of them is announcing the statement, where he threatened the US embassy in Baghdad "if any harm took place against the Sadrist Leader Muqtada al-Sadr".
No identity was given of this armed group, or any official comment on the video recording.
Last Friday, al-Sadr warned that there attempts to assassinate him, declaring his "non-fear of death threats".
On the other side, the Sadrist spokesman Jaffar al-Mussawi disclosed , Saturday, that there are "internal and external" groups threatened to kill the Sadrist leader if he did not stop talking about the corruptors and abandoning his reforms, but did not name them.
