Euphrates Dam warning of imminent "collapse" due to airstrikes that could submerge countless settlements on the banks of Euphrates River Posted: 27 Mar 2017 01:18 AM PDT Photo SOHR Members of the Takfiri Daesh terrorist group have ordered the residents of their major urban stronghold in Syria to immediately evacuate the city of Raqqah, warning of imminent flash floods that could submerge countless settlements on the banks of Euphrates River due to failure in Tabqa Dam. The terror outfit, in a statement released on Sunday, announced that dam, most commonly known as Euphrates Dam and located 40 kilometers upstream from Raqqah, is out of service due to airstrikes being carried out by the US-led coalition, and could collapse. The statement said pressure on the dam’s compromised structure is building up rapidly as more water flow into the reservoir, bringing it up to its maximum capacity, while the sluice gates normally used to relieve that pressure are jammed shut. The so-called and Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) also reported that Tabqa Dam is out of service. Syrian officials have warned that the collapse of earth-filled Tabqa Dam could inundate Raqqah as well the cities of Dayr al-Zawr and Abu Kamal, which lie 140 kilometers downstream from Raqqah. Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reports The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed by several reliable sources that the Euphrates Dam which is located on the Euphrates River north of al-Tabaqa city in the western countryside of al-Raqqah has stopped working The reasons are still unknown until now, where the sources of the observatory suggested that the Dam has stopped because of a power outage, which is being generated from the dam automatically The intersecting sources confirmed to the Syrian observatory for Human Rights that the main body of the Dam and the main turbines are still under the control the “Islamic State” organization and that the Syria Democratic Forces were not able to control them until right now. The "Strange noises" are back! Strange 'alien' noises heard over the skies of Nottingham: People left baffled by the noises for years (Video) Posted: 27 Mar 2017 12:56 AM PDT Strange 'alien' noises heard over the skies of Nottingham Strange noises that can be described as trumpets or grinding metals has been heard over the streets of Nottingham. The noises have been heard around the world and still baffle people as to their origin. Strange noises that can be described as trumpets or grinding metals has been heard over the streets of Nottingham. The noises have been heard around the world and still baffle people as to their origin. Trumpet-like alien sound is finally heard in the UK after being a worldwide mystery for almost a DECADE Calvin Kirlew, 24, captured footage of the weird noise on his mobile phone He and his partner listened to the outbursts for around 40 minutes Mr Kirlew, from Nottingham, East Midlands, has 'no idea' what made the sound Similar clips have been captured in the US, Ukraine, Germany and Belarus A couple's quiet night in was ruined when they were spooked by loud, unexplained noises that lasted 40 minutes. Calvin Kirlew, 24, and his partner, listened in 'shock' as trumpet-like sounds blared across the night sky in Nottingham, East Midlands A video of the sounds has left viewers baffled after Calvin uploaded it to his Facebook page on Tuesday evening. Sunspot Genesis surprises experts with rapid growth and two dark cores the size of Earth: Solar wind from the massive coronal hole to reach us later today Posted: 27 Mar 2017 12:38 AM PDT A fast-moving stream of solar wind flowing from the indicated coronal hole could reach Earth as early as March 27th (although the 28th is more likely). Credit: NASA/SDO. As reports came in this week that the sunspot count had reached a 7 year low Spacweather.com reports of a surprise region called Sunspot Genesis: It's a large sunspot and is growing in the sun's northern hemisphere. Only 24 hours ago it didn't exist, now the active region sprawls across more than 70,000 km of solar "terrain" and contains at least two dark cores as large as Earth. See gif below A massive potent coronal hole is facing at this moment, Spaceweather reports: A canyon-shaped hole in the sun's atmosphere is facing Earth, and it is spewing a stream of fast-moving solar wind toward our planet. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory photographed the giant fissure on March 25th: See below. We've seen this coronal hole before. In early March, it lashed Earth's magnetic field with a fast-moving stream that sparked several consecutive days of intense auroras around the poles. The coronal hole is potent because it is spewing solar wind threaded with "negative polarity" magnetic fields. Such fields do a good job connecting to Earth's magnetosphere and energizing geomagnetic storms. Home Page The Wire |
Yellow fever killing thousands of monkeys in Brazil as 90% of brown howler monkeys wiped out in unprecedented die off Posted: 26 Mar 2017 11:49 PM PDT Photo ibtimes.com An unprecedented wave of death that has swept through Brazil since late 2016 is killing thousands of monkeys. A recent and unprecedented outbreak of the mosquito-borne virus, yellow fever, has killed thousands of monkeys in the region, including nearly all of the brown howler monkeys. Yellow fever has killed thousands of the rare monkeys and there is no vaccine for the monkeys who are dying en masse in Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais, the two states so far worst hit. “Some 80 to 90 per cent of the brown howler monkeys are infected or have already died,” says Sergio Mendes at the Federal University of Espírito Santo in Vitoria, Brazil. “This is a true catastrophe. These outbreaks happen periodically, but this is the worst I’ve ever seen.” Scientists say they have never seen monkeys perish in such numbers, so quickly, from disease. The way yellow fever has spread also concerns Brazilian health officials. As of mid-March 2017, they have confirmed more than 400 human cases of the disease, mostly in Minas Gerais, causing nearly 150 human deaths. The Brazilian Ministry of Health is investigating another 900 possible cases and concern is mounting that it will spread to cities, threatening many more people. Brazilian authorities also want to protect the monkeys from people who fear the animals may be spreading the disease. "We need to show that they help inform when the virus arrives in a region, because being more sensitive than humans, they die first," Mendes explains. A dead monkey is like a canary in a coal mine, alerting public health officials that a pathogen may be present, mobilizing preventative and precautionary efforts. So, what does it mean when so many have perished? "No one really knows the consequences for the other primates or the forest when nearly the entire population of an abundant species dies from disease in just a few months," says Strier. "We are in a position to learn things we never knew before, with all the background information that we have collected." Story Source: Materials provided by University of Wisconsin-Madison. Avian flu now tightening its grip in The U.S. as Kentucky is the 4th southern state to confirm the virus as world wide pandemic continues to grow Posted: 26 Mar 2017 11:21 PM PDT Click on RSOE Alert map to enlarge, red squares indicate humans infected or dead Kentucky is the 4th southern state to confirm avian flu as the virus tightens its grip in the U.S. Bird flu is tightening its grip in the US as the virus has been confirmed in three more southern states after farms in Tennessee and Alabama reported cases earlier in the month, but officials say the nation's poultry supply isn't at risk. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture said Tuesday that it's temporarily banning the transportation of poultry after a form of the disease was found in a commercial flock of 22,000 hens in western Kentucky. The state says the farm was placed under quarantine and the birds were killed. The announcement came as the state of Alabama confirmed the presence of the same form of bird flu in two flocks there. Another form of the poultry illness was previously detected in Tennessee. Department of Agriculture specialists are investigating a possible case of avian influenza at a commercial poultry business in the Menlo, Georgia. The "bird flu" has not been confirmed. There is no danger posed to humans in this situation. Home Page The Wire |
It last erupted 250 years ago: Footage of the volcano spewing ash 7,000 meters high as Russia's the Kambalny volcano is scaring the experts (Video) Posted: 26 Mar 2017 07:07 AM PDT Photo RT The Kambalny volcano, located in the Yuzhno-Kamchatsky wildlife preserve in Kamchatka, showed activity on Saturday after first rumbling a day earlier, for the first time in around 250 years. Researchers are genuinely amazed at the Kambalny volcano in Russia erupting for the first time in 250 years. But while this could be described as a scientific marvel, the volcano could also be hiding a threat. Footage of the volcano spewing ash up to a height of 7,000 meters is indeed impressive... and yes, a little bit scary. The Kambalny volcano is 2,156 meter high and is located in southern Kamchatka. The last time it erupted was during the reign of the Russian empress Catherine the Great, in 1769. RT.com Home Page The Wire |
Whats in a vaccine? Human and animal cells Gluteraldehyde Beta- Propiolactone Aluminium Formaldehyde and Mercury a deadly cocktail of poison Posted: 26 Mar 2017 06:47 AM PDT Photo drwolfson.com Next winter if you or your family are offered a vaccine, please think again, the above is not good for animals never mind humans My friend and colleague, Carol Rosin sent me the above picture which quite honestly horrifies me as I had a flu injection in October and was quite sick for a month after. What's in it? Human and animal cells, human DNA from aborted babies, pig blood, horse blood and lots more all linked to childhood leukemia and diabetes Gluteraldehyde, poisonous if ingested, causes birth defects in animals. Gluteraldahyde is known to cause asthma to health workers. Beta- Propiolactone, Known to cause cancer, causes lung, liver, nerve and skin problems. Aluminium, Known to cause brain damage, linked to Alzheimer's disease, seizures or autoimmune issues and cancer. Formaldehyde, known to cause cancer in humans, stomach, liver, respiratory, immune nerve and reproductive system. Banned in Europe. Mercury, One of the most toxic substance known to man, a tiny dose can damage the brain. Home Page The Wire |
As a massive potent coronal hole faces the Earth we ask, where did all the major quakes go? With only 17 recorded this year it's the lowest total by far this century Posted: 26 Mar 2017 05:42 AM PDT Above a graph of all major quakes since 2010 stats from USGS.
This month so far we have had only 4 recorded major earthquakes, if this tally stays like this until the end of the month, it will be the lowest amount of major quakes in one month since Jan, 4: 2015 and Dec, 4: 2013, then you have to go back almost 10 years to 2008 when in Oct, 3: Nov, 1: and Dec, 1: just 4 major quakes where recorded in a 3 month period. The year 2017 has had the least recorded major quakes this century so far. So where have they gone? Of course I have no idea but conditions have been favourable, although sunspot activity on our Sun is at a 7 year low we have had a sequence of massive coronal holes on out Sun which we now know is the main earthquake factor. A massive potent coronal hole is facing at this moment, Spaceweather reports: A canyon-shaped hole in the sun's atmosphere is facing Earth, and it is spewing a stream of fast-moving solar wind toward our planet. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory photographed the giant fissure on March 25th: See below. We've seen this coronal hole before. The coronal hole is potent because it is spewing solar wind threaded with "negative polarity" magnetic fields. Such fields do a good job connecting to Earth's magnetosphere and energizing geomagnetic storms. Volcano activity on the other hand has been mightily impressive with The Big Wobble reporting 8 monsters showing activity this month already. Home Page The Wire |
