Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi finance ministry is "standing perplexed for the frauds committed in

Um Qasr Port, south of the country, as well as smuggling containers without the approval of the official authorities", some sources said.

Iraqi Integrity Commission announced capturing 14 containers full with medicines which entered the country with forged documents and without the approval of the Iraqi Health Ministry.

The Commission pointed that the medicine containers were imported from India and Egypt.
Other sources reported that a special secret committee was formed to investigate this case.

During the past few months, several reports were published in Iraqi local press on smuggling materials from the port without having official permits or papers.

Iraqi  border outlets were reported full of such cases, where many officials were referred to the Integrity Commission for investigations, Iraqi media reported.
