    Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: A leading member in the Higher Islamic Council, Salah al-Gharbawi, denied the news on the statement of Ammar al-Hakeem, chairman of the council, on ending legal follow-ups for some Iraqi personalities abroad.

    He added that al-Hakeem called to "activate legal issues away from dark rooms and politicization on some personalities and opening new opportunities to some personalities that did not commit any crime against the Iraqi people".

    Some of Iraqi politicians and MPs regarded that the talk of al-Hakeem as "ending legal follow-ups against some personalities abroad as a call to pardon them".

    Earlier today, Chairman of the Iraqi National Alliance Ammar al-Hakeem, the biggest political bloc in the parliament, called to end legal follow-up against some Iraqi personalities abroad.

    In a speech on the Iraqi Martyr's Day, he pointed that the National Settlement Initiative was made with the agreement of the National Alliance, "because we believe that the political build-up cannot be attained without a road map and the initiative is one of its pillars".

    The National Settlement was submitted before three months to lay out a road map for post-Mosul's liberation era.

    Iraqi Sunni an d Shiite apolitical circles are still studying this initiative.
