Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi parliamentary oil and Energy Commission stressed the "illegality" of any oil agreement with any state without the approval of the Iraqi federal government, calling the central government to take the necessary measures to abide by the Iraqi constitution.
Member of the Commission Hussein al-Awad called to inform the Russian embassy in Baghdad of Iraqi "dissatisfaction", as well as reminding of economic, political and diplomatic relations between the two sided.
Russian Rosneft announced sighting 20-year contract with the Kurdish region to explore and developing oilfields, but no information was given on the value of the deal.
