Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi Trade Minister Salman al-Jumaili disclosed that Iraq imports two million tons of white flour with the cost of 800 million dollars.
He described this import as "waste of funds", because Iraq is importing the flour from non-producing countries like Kuwait , United Arab Emirates and Turkey.
Minister Jumaili pointed that the imports of the wheat is the sole responsibility of the state, adding that the state is buying the Iraqi production with higher prices in comparison to international prices.
