Iraq imports 2.5 m. tons of flour annually, Commission

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi Parliamentary Economic Commission disclosed that Iraq buys 2.5
million tons of flour annually.
MP Abdul Kareem al-Naqeeb stated that the Iraqi losses of such imports reached to 750 million dollars annually.
He pointed that the owners of the flour mills are working only 10 days for each 40 days.
"The cost of each imported flour reached to 300 dollars", he added.
He pointed that about 6000 tons of flour are entering the country daily.
