Released 1243 inmates, including 98 women, in Iraqi jails
BAGHDAD, Aug 3 (KUNA) - The Ministry of Justice announced on Thursday that "the number of released from the prisons of the ministry during the last month amounted to 1243 prisoners from the prisons of the ministry in Baghdad and the provinces, including 98 women."
"The reform department has made great strides in the area of release operations with the implementation of the electronic supervision system, which allows the possibility of determining the end of their judicial rulings of the inmates and contributes to the resolution of their files according to the specified legal period," it said in a statement.
