    It examined the Iraqi Association of private banks with the Central Bank and Chairman of the National Investment Authority Sami Araji problems facing investors in Iraq and ways of activating the investment banks through financing for investment projects.

    And held a meeting at the headquarters of the Association of private banks which was attended by a delegation from the Central Bank headed by Finance Director of Operations Mahmoud Dagher, as well as Chairman of the National Investment Commission, Sami al-Araji, a number of heads of boards of private banks.

    According to the Director of Financial Operations at the Central Bank Mahmoud Dagher, that "private banks today faces several obstacles in their work, including routine measures taken in government departments and fear investors from working in Iraq because of the events taking place in the country."

    On the other hand, Chairman of the National Investment Commission, Sami al-Araji said during the meeting, which was attended by "Economy News", that "the banking sector demands to contribute to the process of reconstruction of the liberated areas of terrorist Daesh gangs through the establishment of a development bank includes private banks," he said, adding that "all projects However, the state was in the past time and now we aspire to involve the private sector in the development process and create a solid Iraqi economy. "

    He added that "the Economic Committee of the Council of Ministers has taken several decisions to involve the private sector in the next Five-Year Plan (2018 2022)."

    And "we are working to promote small and medium projects launched by the Central Bank of Iraq with the participation of private banks operating in the country."
