    BAGHDAD (
Reuters ) - Britain's Interior Minister Amber Rudd has warned that there is an "arms race" on the Internet between militants and law and order enforcement forces, asking social media companies to block hardline content.

Said Rudd to attend the New Center for American research by Washington , "There is an arms race on the Internet between the militants and the forces of law and order , " adding that " the government authorities and companies are already working to ensure the removal of messages that carry content that militancy and encourages violence on the Internet through An hour or two after publication. "

"Companies should go ahead with the development and deployment of industrial intelligence systems that can detect such content before it is published on the Internet to prevent publication," she said.

"Since the beginning of 2017, hardline elements have created 40,000 websites and new applications on the Internet," said the interior minister of the ruling Conservative Party. "They visited Silicon Valley companies, including Google and YouTube , both of which are affiliated to Alibabit, along with Facebook and Twitter , This year and appealed to it to do more to remove or block the hard content. "

She said that as recently as 12 months ago, social media companies had removed about half of the content of violence and defiance from their sites within two hours of discovery, and this proportion has recently increased to two-thirds.

Rad said YouTube was now removing 83 percent of the videos found to be violent and stressful, adding that Britain had "evidence" that Da'ash was "struggling" now to publish some of its material on the Internet.

But she said there were "many more" companies could do to use sophisticated technology to detect dangerous content faster.

In the wake of a growing number of attacks by militants with vehicles, such as a London market attack this year, British security authorities are now revising laws governing car hire and are considering ways to collect more relevant data from car rental companies.
