Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman  Maria Zakharova said Thursday  that Russia had sent a memorandum to the US State Department to look into the transfer of the so-called "peacemaker" to US recife.

"The memo contains the nature of the Peacemaker website," Zakharova told reporters. "The memo also requires US authorities not to register the site because many journalists have been affected by this site, which claims to be maintaining peace."

Zakharova said: "The American side has not officially respond to our demands so far," but stressed that the Russian Foreign Ministry gives this note special attention.

The Ukrainian site, which covers the events in Donbass, publishes the personal data of journalists working there, posing a direct threat to their safety.

The site, which is linked to a deputy in parliament and an adviser to the Ukrainian interior minister, Anton Gryashchenko, was created in 2014 to reveal the personal data of the armed opposition in Donbass and the people who help them. The site also monitors those involved in crimes targeting national security Of the country.

It is interesting to note that the lists included political figures known for their anti-Russian attitudes, such as the leader of Ukraine's Batkivshina Party, Yula Tymoshenko, the former president of Georgia, and the governor of Odessa of Ukraine, Mikhail Saakashvili.

The site's database also includes personal data for RT , TASS, Reuters, AFP, CNN, Al Jazeera, US Associated Press and other international media.

The site was closed after a criminal case was opened against the journalists of the site in 2016 by a group of Ukrainian journalists and others of different nationalities. The EU representative in Ukraine asked the authorities in Kiev to back him up, but he resumed his work, ignoring all protests on his website. Finished
