The Iraqi jurisprudential council announced to senior scholars to call for support for the actions of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in the fight against corruption.
The council said in a statement that a high-level delegation represented by "visited Najaf on December 16, 2017 and met a number of references to the religion.
He explained that the delegation "discussed many issues of interest to the Iraqi street and contribute to the development of solutions to many important issues at the current stage, especially the unity of the word and stand up to extremist ideas."
The statement said that the delegation "between the honorable references that he stands with the Prime Minister in the fight against corruption and the predators."
The statement described the visit of the delegation of the Iraqi Juristic Academy to the great scholars to call and describe it as "an important step in the openness and joint work between the religious authorities to strengthen the frameworks of cooperation and peaceful coexistence common among the components of the country."
The statement concluded by saying that "the religious authority in Najaf carried the visiting delegation salute and peace to the great scholar Sheikh Sheikh Ahmed Hassan al-Taha."
