    Deputy Prime Minister Iyad Allawi that Prime Minister Haider Abadi rejected a request by one of the Arab leaders to sit on a "dinner table" with Barzani and resolve the differences between Baghdad and Erbil.
    Allawi said he discussed with President Fuad Masum and his deputy Nuri al-Maliki to find a way out of differences between the federal and regional governments and election issues. 
    "We discussed the crisis between Baghdad and Erbil and stressed the need to contain the Kurds and not to expel them," said the vice president of the republic in an interview with Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadh. "They are a vital part of the Iraqi people."
    "I am against the marginalization of any Iraqi regardless of the background of religion, sect or nationality.
