    Minister of Culture Farid Rawanduzi discussed with Vice-President of the Organization of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahbab Khadadi the prospects of cultural and tourism cooperation and means of developing and promoting them to serve the interests of both countries.
     
    "We are keen to develop these relations and to prepare fully to overcome all the problems and dilemmas facing the influx of tourists between the two countries, pointing out the importance of tourism in providing economy to both countries," Rowanduzi said.
     
    "The importance of tourism is not only in its economic aspect, but in its aspect of strengthening relations between peoples, and the many participants between the Iraqi and Iranian peoples constitute an important basis in the promotion of the second relationship," he said.
     
    He stressed the ministry's keenness to achieve permanent meetings with the Iranians and to communicate through the embassy to overcome the problems that arise as a result of the influx of large numbers in religious occasions and wished the work of team spirit with the ministry officials to improve the services provided to tourists in addition to the importance of expanding tourism through promotion Not only for religious tourism, but for entertainment and heritage because there are a lot of tourist sites and archaeological sites scattered in the two countries can be a destination for tourists from both countries.
     
    For his part, Mohbab Khadadi stressed the importance of developing tourism relations between the two countries as a means of developing relations between peoples, pointing out the distinguished relations between the two countries.
     
    He pointed to the importance of tourism and work to expand and develop it to serve the interests of the two countries economically and increase social ties, pointing to the importance of improving the level of services provided to tourists in both countries.
     
    Khaddadi expressed the readiness of the Iranian side to provide expertise and establish specialized courses in tourism, which will contribute to developing the capabilities of specialists in tourism from Iraqis.
     
    Khalidi praised the Iraqi people's victory over the terrorist and the efforts of the Iraqis to rebuild their country after the crisis.
