Crucial talks on the gates of border KurdistanThe director of Erbil International Airport Tallar Fayek, Sunday, that crucial talks will be held, on Monday, in Erbil between the governments of Iraq and the Kurdistan region around airports Erbil and Sulaymaniyah and border crossings.
Fayek said that "a delegation from Baghdad will visit Erbil on Monday, to complete talks on the airports of Sulaymaniyah and Erbil and border crossings."
She explained that "the talks between the delegation of the region and the Iraqi government, Saturday was fruitful and that the meeting Monday will be crucial in terms of self-determination of airports in the Kurdistan region and border crossings."
The Federal Government suspended flights to Erbil and Sulaymaniyah airports, as of September 29, 2017 against the backdrop of the referendum of secession conducted by the province, and allowed only daily flights to Baghdad airport.
