Calls to boycott the elections .. Who is the beneficiary?
MP Abbas al-Bayati criticized the electronic campaigns carried out by some parties to call for a boycott of the elections, stressing in a televised interview that the feeling of despair and resentment exists, but that does not mean boycott.
Al-Bayati asked, "Can this lead us to disrupt the democratic process," noting that the fatwa issued by Iraqi clerics to boycott the elections is binding only those who believe in them.
The head of the Iraqi Electoral Commission, Adel al-Lami, considered that the boycott of elections is in the interest of the parties of the Authority, indicating, during a press statement, that these parties have more than two million voters decided to vote for them.
