    BAGHDAD / The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced on Tuesday the formation of an advisory body to manage the file of food security in Iraq in cooperation with the relevant international organizations.
    The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Mahdi Al-Alak, discussed with the representatives of the World Food Program, the United Nations Development Program and the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas of Iraq a plan for the implementation of a strategic review of food security and nutrition in Iraq.     "Food security is an essential part of the poverty reduction strategy launched by the government on February 4," he said.
    For her part, the representative of the World Food Program pointed out that "the partnership between the relevant authorities will help in identifying gaps and policy-making and road map for the target groups, and come out with reports contribute to food security, including school students and vulnerable groups and develop their capacities and support small enterprises."
