(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Joint Iraqi-Syrian Economic Committee will meet early next March.
"The Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Damascus, Riyad Hassoun al-Tai, met with Syrian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Samer Al-Khalil," the ministry said in a statement.
The statement added that "during the meeting discussed the trade and economic relations between Iraq and Syria and ways to strengthen them, and the readiness to hold meetings of the Iraqi-Syrian Joint Committee on schedule in early March."
