    , said the Iraqi - Iranian Chamber of Commerce, said that Iran 's exports to Iraq on non - oil



     commodities of more than $ 5 billion, indicating that these exports during the 11 months. 

    "Iranian exports to Iraq over the period of 11 months amounted to more than 5 billion dollars," Chamber Secretary-General Hamid Hosseini said in an interview with the Financial Tribune. "These exports are for non-oil goods.


    "Food, fruit, vegetables and building materials were major commodities exported to Iraq from Iran," he said. 

    "Iran was Iraq's third largest trading partner in 2016," said Mujtaba Khosrotaj, head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization. Turkey , which has 22 percent of Iraq's foreign trade, is Baghdad's biggest trading partner, followed by China with 20 percent and Iran with 16 percent, 

    according to the official IRNA news agency . He pointed Khosrotaj that "food exports accounted for 19% of exports of Iran 's non - oil exports to Iraq during the past three years , followed by agricultural products (15%) and chemical products (15%) and energy products (11%) and building materials (10%, machinery and vehicles (5 ), Household appliances (4%), textiles (3%) and other products (18%).



    "Iran has exported on average six billion dollars worth of goods annually to the neighboring country in the last three years because Iraq's exports to Iran were low and range between 50 and 60 million dollars," he said. 

    Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mujtaba Khosrotaj said earlier that the value of exports to Iraq amounted to 4 billion dollars during the 21 March to 22 October 2017.
