    [rtl] The Iraqi government has decided to support the development of the Majnoon oil field to the Basra Oil Company, with a commitment to reduce the cost of management and development by 300 million dollars annually (355.8 billion dinars) .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]"The decision included 30% reduction in production costs during this year's plan, rising to at least 50% of the cost of the operator's plans, and reducing the time periods by at least 20% of the plan," the statement said .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The statement pointed out that "the decision of the Iraqi ministers comes to strengthen the leadership of national ownership of the activities of operating the largest oil field in the country with national management and global standards to achieve sustainable development of the country . "[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]Until the end of last month, the Iraqi Oil Ministry was in talks with the US Chevron, on the oil field .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]In October, Jabbar al-Luaibi, the Iraqi oil minister, pointed to the interest of US Chevron and Total in the development of the Majnoon oil field, after the decision of Shell International to leave it .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]And the Minister followed by statements that Iraq may offer the two companies different conditions for the development of the oil field, other than the conditions previously offered to the Royal Dutch Shell, "pointing out that Iraq will develop the Majnoon oil field with its own resources, until finding a foreign partner .[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]At the end of last November, Al-Allaibi signed an alliance between the US Chevron, French Total and PetroChina to develop the Majnoon oil field after Royal Dutch Shell[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The field of "Majnoon oil" in the province of Basra in southern Iraq, one of the largest oil fields in the world, and got "Shell Iraq" in 2009 on the contract development of the South Oil Company, the field, after damage caused by the war on Iraq 2003, "He said.[/rtl]
