Announced the Iraqi Drilling Company, details of the contract with the [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/16865/%D9%86%D9%81%D8%B7 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D8%B5%D8%B1%D8%A9]Basra Oil[/url] Company to dig dozens of wells in the field of Majnoon.
"The contract signed a few days ago is to dig 43 wells in [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/78569/%D8%AD%D9%82%D9%84 %D9%85%D8%AC%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86]the Majnoon field,[/url] divided by 40 development wells, an appraisal well and two water wells," the oil ministry's director, Bassem Mohammad Khudair, told reporters .
"The value of the contract is 255 million dollars, and the work is scheduled to be completed within 24 months," he said, adding that the field's production would rise to 450,000 bpd.

He noted: "The [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/104803/%D8%B4%D8%B1%D9%83%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D9%81%D8%B1 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82%D9%8A%D8%A9]Iraqi Drilling Company[/url]"We have 47 oil drilling wells, the most recent of which are for BP, Petronas and ExxonMobil. There is a plan to increase the number of modern towers. We are currently purchasing three new towers with a capacity of 2,000 HP."
