A member of the parliamentary legal committee Sadiq al-Labban, Saturday, the imposition of sanctions on MPs absent from the meetings of the House of Representatives because of election campaigns up to one million dinars for each session.

"The punitive measures that will be taken by the presidency of the parliament against those who are absent from the deputies who are candidates for a new electoral cycle will reach a cut of one million dinars for each session," the semi-official Sabah newspaper quoted al-Laban as saying in a press statement.

He added that "the procedures of the presidency of the parliament against the deputies absent from the meetings because of the upcoming election campaign will be limited to financial tranches of up to one million dinars for each session."

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research issued a decision last week banning the election of university candidates and academic institutions to the specificity of universities that require maintaining their academic and academic identity, which does not allow the emergence of non-university indicators, especially during this period in which early elections are active.

It is noteworthy that about 7 thousand candidates from various political blocs are competing to win the seats of the House of Representatives of 320 seats in addition to 9 base (Kota) for minorities in elections scheduled for May 12, 2018. J
