Abadi: Iraq has a good reservoir of oil and gas and are determined to benefit from it

Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said on Wednesday that Iraq has a good reservoir of oil and gas, pointing to the government's intention to "benefit from it," while stressing the need to stop dependence on oil as the sole source of energy.
"Oil development should be used to promote the country, and we are now working to transform energy for the benefit of the citizens," Abbadi said in a speech during the energy conference, followed by Alsumaria News. "Oil can not be relied upon as a major source of economy in Iraq, Oil prices are not stable. "
"We must establish a strong economy and not rely on oil," Abadi said, adding that "Iraq has a large reservoir of oil and gas, and are determined to benefit from it."
The Prime Minister, "to reduce the operational spending in the war period a major achievement by the government," pointing out that "Iraq is open to the international community and foreign investment, and welcome any investment opportunity."
