A Sudanese government official announced on Friday the discovery of the Ninth Pyramid in the Nile River state of Sudan, which has about 220 pyramids characterized by its palace compared to its counterparts in Egypt.
"The discovery of the ninth pyramid in the area of Al-Bagrawiya extends to 10 meters below the ground,
He added that the official disclosure of the discovery of the pyramid will be next Tuesday, at a press conference attended by Minister of Tourism, Mohammed Abu Zeid.
He pointed to the efforts of his government in coordination with the competent federal authorities to develop tourism work in the state, at all levels of archaeological and Nile tourism.
The pyramids of Sudan are smaller than the Egyptian ones, the largest of which is 30 meters long, compared to 146 meters for the Great Pyramid of Giza.
