The ports are demanding the acquisition of the frontier land

The Chairman of the Board Dr. Kazem Al-Aqabi said in a special statement to Al-Sabah: The Commission has taken proactive steps by contacting the relevant authorities through the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, which in turn opened the coordination body of the governorates to inform the Muthanna province of the desire of the Commission to own a piece of land of 500 dunums, Located on the port of Jameema border, so that it can carry out the rehabilitation project. He added that some of the requirements for the implementation of the project, the exuberance and paving of a 200-kilometer street, runs from the Salman Gate to the port, being ineligible at the present time, noting that the Authority received signals indicating the willingness of the Saudi side to bear the material cost of rehabilitating the infrastructure of the port which Linking the two brotherly countries. He said that the Commission will work during the next few visits to Saudi Arabia to discuss the mechanisms to start the implementation of the vital project, which he said will increase trade exchange, and activates the economic movement between the two countries, especially that the bilateral relations have seen great development at various levels Political, commercial, cultural and other.
