Land transport is demanding a reduction in fuel wages for its trucks

The General Company for Land Transport officially appealed to the concerned authorities to reduce the fuel wages for its trucks, after the price of one liter was raised to 750 dinars, compared to the price of selling it to the private sector, which amounted to 400 dinars.
The general manager of the company affiliated with the Ministry of Transport, Mortada Al-Shahmani, said in a statement to "Al-Sabah": that his company submitted an official letter to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, in which it appealed for the need to reduce the price of fuel supplied to its trucks, which had been issued a decision to raise its price, returning to the new price of 750 dinars per liter. Obstructing the work of his company's fleet of trucks, as it will not be able to compete with the sector
private.
In the same context, he explained that the government sectors do not depend in their work on transportation, unlike the Ministry of Transport, which will reflect negatively on all its subsidiaries, and as a result they will be the most affected by the decision, noting that the absence of a law requires government institutions to deal exclusively with his ministry to transfer Its goods will make competition unfair with the private sector, which buys fuel at a price of 400 dinars
