Gold prices fell with the start of the week after a five-week low 4443

Gold prices fell on Monday, after gold prices hit a five-week low last Friday before reversing and closing today's high .
Gold returns to the downside today as negative pressure on commodities continues as optimism returns to financial markets as Asian stocks are largely boosted by the end of political tensions between North and South Korea .
Dollar-denominated assets such as gold are highly sensitive to movements in the dollar as the rise of the federal currency makes gold more expensive for foreign currency holders and thus lower demand for the precious metal .
Markets are poised this week to accept the Federal Reserve's decision with expectations of monetary policy tightening, and the jobs report will be released this weekend, which could push the dollar and gold movements to change again .
Gold prices were trading at $ 1321.98 an ounce after recording a low of $ 1321.42 an ounce and opened today's session at $ 1322.58 per ounce, reaching a high of $ 1325.30 an ounce .
