[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Minister of Finance Taif Sami, Governor of Iraq, participated in the ninth annual meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), which was held on September 25-26, 2023 in Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan.
A statement by the Ministry of Finance stated that under the slogan "Building Infrastructure for All", the Minister participated in the Governors' Roundtable meetings, including the official session and the general session, with the participation of 109 countries.
According to the statement, this meeting is the second for Iraq since joining the bank, as it aims to rehabilitate and develop infrastructure, especially in the fields of industry, transportation and energy.
The step of Iraq's joining the Asian Bank comes with the aim of deepening cooperation and enhancing communication between Asia and the countries of the world, in addition to stimulating investments and financing infrastructure projects in light of global financial crises. / End 2[/rtl]
