Today, Thursday, the head of the agricultural associations in the western regions of Anbar Governorate, Qatari Al-Ubaidi, called on Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani to intervene with the Ministry of Finance to obstruct the mechanism for disbursing financial dues to wheat and barley marketers.

Al-Ubaidi told Al-Maalouma Agency that "despite Al-Sudani's instructions to the concerned authorities to pay the financial dues to the farmers when they market the wheat and barley crops, the Ministry of Finance is still obstructing the disbursement of the amounts allocated to the farmers despite the passage of 5 months for reasons that are not clear."
He added, "Hundreds of farmers have not received their financial dues despite the appeals launched by farmers to the central government to intervene to pay their financial dues."
He explained that "marketing operations in all Anbar cities amounted to more than 600 thousand tons of wheat and barley crops, which is the highest marketing rate in the province in more than 30 years."
He pointed out that "not receiving financial dues will lead to a decline in the agricultural situation in the governorate, calling on the ministry to "release financial amounts to pay all marketers." End / 12A
