It is noteworthy that the decision of the Chairman of the Baghdad Provincial Council is correct within the legal framework, and according to Article 25, first, of the internal regulations, which stipulates that a member of the Provincial Council shall be considered dismissed if he misses four sessions, and this applies to Al-Hamdani, who missed six sessions.
Al-Nimrawi told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The decision to dismiss Baghdad Provincial Council member Ammar Al-Hamdani by the Council Chairman Ammar Al-Qaisi does not follow the legal framework, threatening the Council Chairman with questioning by the Council members."
He added, "The head of the Baghdad Provincial Council, Ammar Al-Qaisi, exceeded his constitutional powers and made a decision unilaterally and illegally."
Baghdad Provincial Council Chairman Ammar Al-Qaisi decided to dismiss Provincial Council member Ammar Al-Hamdani for his absence from six sessions. End/12A
