    [size=45]The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced the arrival of 75 tons of Iraqi medical aid and supplies to Lebanon, while confirming preparations to send the first land aid convoy.[/size]
    [size=45]The spokesman for the Secretariat, Haider Majeed, told the official agency: “Iraq has completed the delivery of 75 tons of medical, therapeutic and humanitarian aid to Lebanon through 5 air sorties, including a shipment for the Ministry of Health, three shipments for the Popular Mobilization Authority and one for the Red Crescent Society.”
    He added, “The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein is preparing - in the coming hours - to launch the first land aid convoy to Lebanon, which is very large and contains medical devices, equipment and relief supplies.”
    He added, “There are campaigns in the governorates to collect food supplies for Lebanon.”
    He continued, “The Iraqi Ministry of Health confirmed to its Lebanese counterpart its readiness to receive the wounded and prepare hospitals and medical and health personnel for this purpose.”[/size]
