Iraqi-Saudi agreement on a new port "Arar"The General Authority for Customs and Border Crossings and the Saudi Customs Authority signed today an agreement to improve the new port of Arar Saudi Arabia in Riyadh.
"The agreement aims to overcome any obstacles that may face the improvement of the new outlet Arar Saudi Arabia, and the desire of both sides to identify the necessary commitments that will contribute to the implementation of the project in time."
The agreement included the appointment of liaison officers for the project from the two sides for the purpose of continuous communication and coordination, arranging meetings for the project if necessary, and providing the necessary facilities for the employees of the project to ensure ease and smooth navigation, through coordination with the concerned parties in each port, Ensuring the ease of movement to and from the work area around the clock and throughout the implementation period. The agreement also specified the beginning of the implementation of the project works from 1-6-2018.
This agreement comes in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the General Authority of Saudi Customs and the Border Crossing Authority, which was recently signed in Riyadh, where the memorandum of understanding stipulates that the obligations of the parties to improve the new port of Arar Saudi Arabia.
