    BAGHDAD / NINA / The secretary-general of the Ahrar bloc, Dia'a al-Asadi
    denied any split in the Ahrar bloc or any withdrawal from the bloc.

    He
    told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that his bloc is closely
    watching the political events, and its priority is the unity of Iraq,
    and adoption of important laws in parliament, adding that the most
    prominent laws are the general budget, the general amnesty law and
    re-appointing the dismissal politicians.

    Asadi said that "if
    these laws are not adopted in this period, the Ahrar bloc will move to
    find a parliamentary and public pressure toward the government and
    political parties to find a political and governmental reform."

    The
    independent MP, Kadhim al-Sayadi announced yesterday the formation of a
    new parliamentary bloc named the National Ahrar bloc. / End
