In all circumstances and events, ancient and modern, history can not be ignored when talking about any relations between two parties, which can be a basis on which the relations as a whole. The Arab-Chinese relations date back nearly 2000 years, and the country of Mesopotamia Iraq has more than 1000 years. Thanks to this long historical period, historical records are filled with a lot of evidence of the deep and friendly relations between Iraq and China.
Since the two countries are the cradle of civilization and originality, there is no doubt that they are interested in, nurture and build on traditional friendship. Most of our Arab peoples have a friendship association with the Chinese people, and Iraq was one of the first to establish a friendship association with the Chinese people, but it froze because of the circumstances. I have been living with the Chinese for some time now, and I know their feelings about our Iraqi people. I have sought an Iraqi friend to revive the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Society, and on this occasion we look forward to popular support for them.
As we are receiving this year the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the official diplomatic relations between the two countries, we all look forward to consolidating this friendship and good relations and achieving closer rapprochement between the two countries, especially as China extends its arms to us and we must move to benefit from its development experience.
