{International: Euphrates News} A French general warned that the operations of the international coalition against Daqash, who currently controls a small enclave of 30 km long and 10 km width in Syrian territory, may last for months.
Gen. Frederic Parizo told a conference call for Pentagon reporters that the fighters were currently in control of the area in the Euphrates valley.
Barizo is the commander of civilian operations in the US-led coalition forces against a pro-Syrian organization in Syria and Iraq.
Barizo explained that the area, which is still under the control of the Da'ash organization, is located in the Euphrates valley between the cities of Hainan and Bu Kamal, estimating the number of the remaining fighters of the organization "a few hundred" and saying "in the coming weeks, we hope to get rid of this rule."
"There will not be any area left with a call or control," he said.
He noted that once the organization was completely eliminated in Syria and Iraq, the international coalition forces would remain in place to ensure that Da'id could not regroup.
"We want to make sure that they will not be able to regroup," he said, in cooperation with the Iraqi army and the Syrian Democratic Forces (a coalition of Arab and Kurdish fighters allied with the United States in Syria).
"There will inevitably be a transition process, a slow transition, all of this will not happen overnight," he said.
Barizo said fighting against the group would continue for at least two or three months. "We are keen to kill them all," he said.
The International Alliance said on Tuesday that six leaders of an organization calling for its planners linked to attacks abroad have been killed in Syria in recent times.
The coalition said in a statement that the Belgian Sufian Makouh, who went to Syria to prepare for attacks against the United States was killed in a blow on the second of June.
On June 12, another raid killed Simak, an official in a cellist linked to an attack cell in Sweden. On the 24th of the same month, two other fighters were killed in the organization directly linked to this cell, Abu Awaf and Abu Qudaamah, while Sharif al-Rajab was killed on June 26.
According to the same source, on April 24, Munawar al-Mutairi, a combatant, was killed
