The Ministry of Defense referred Lieutenant General Morteza Mishahed Raif, Assistant Commander of the Army's General Staff, Maj. Gen. Riad Jalal Tawfiq, Commander of Ground Forces, and Lieutenant General Mezher Shaher Nassif, Commander of Diyala Operations, to retire.
The three officers were referred to retirement to reach legal age, the ministry said in a statement.
