    A source in the Council of Judges assigned to the Electoral Commission said on Thursday that the work of the Board of Directors has ended and will return the Board of Commissioners frozen to work after Eid al-Adha. 
    In June, the Iraqi judiciary named a new president of the Electoral Commission and a deputy of the assigned judges, after the previous commission was referred to the investigation following charges of manipulating the results of the May 12 ballot. 
    The move came after the parliament passed an amendment to the election law guaranteeing the suspension of the work of the members of the Commission. 
    The judges assumed the responsibilities and powers of the Board of Commissioners to ratify the results of the legislative elections, which did not significantly change the results of the elections declared by the Commission frozen. 
    "The work of the Board of Commissioners was completed before Eid al-Adha," the source told twilight news.
    "This was done on the basis of the third amendment to the amended electoral law No. 45, which stipulated the end of the work of judges assigned by the ratification of the Federal Court." 
    He also pointed out that "the arrest of the Council of Commissioners and Directors of the offices after the completion of the Ministerial Committee for its work, which ended with the approval of the Prime Minister on its recommendations to isolate managers of the offices of Anbar provinces, Kirkuk and Salahuddin and directors of the offices of Jordan and Turkey."
