The Russian delegate to the Security Council, that the Syrian army does not have chemical weapons at a time when the US Secretary of Defense on the departure of Assad and not stay in power.
"The Syrian armed forces do not have chemical weapons, and have no plans to use them, and there is no military necessity for it."
Vassili Nibenzia, Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, said during a Security Council session on the situation in Idlib
"The Syrians can create a new government that is not under the leadership of Assad, and we must give them the opportunity to change for the future," Defense Secretary James Mattis told a news conference. "
Matisse also called on Russia to pressure the Iranians out of Syria. Is Washington preparing to escalate the situation in Syria?
