A suicide attack in the Netherlands was foiled and seven terrorists, one of Iraqi origin, were arrested

Dutch police have arrested seven men suspected of planning a "major terrorist attack" on a major event, the Dutch [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/3218/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AF%D8%B9%D8%A7%D8%A1 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%A7%D9%85]prosecutor's[/url] office said.
The Dutch prosecutors said in a statement that the detainees "planned to carry out the attack using explosive belts and Kalashnikov rifles and detonating a car bomb.
The statement added that among the detainees "a man of Iraqi origin, 34 years old, was convicted of imprisonment in 2017 on charges of attempting to travel to areas under the control of a preacher."
According to the Dutch authorities, two other detainees were convicted of trying to go to Iraq or Syria, pointing out that the arrest took place in Arnhem, eastern Netherlands, and the city of Vert in the south of the country.
