Water resources: The rain wave will not change the country's strategic reserves

The Ministry of Water Resources announced on Saturday that it is waiting for the end of the rain wave to calculate its quantities in an estimate, while expected that it does not constitute a significant change in Iraq's strategic water reserves.
The ministry's adviser, Zafer Abdullah, said in a press statement that the wave in case it continued at the current pace or more will be a positive and encouraging start that predicts a better winter separation than the previous one.
Abdullah stressed that the ministry is still waiting for the response of the Turkish side to meet the invitation of the attendees in the meeting to be held at the site of the Mosul dam on the second of November next, to discuss the issue of filling the Turkish Alesso dam, while stressing the lack of indications from neighboring Turkey that it will attend, Request the ministry to launch water quotas agreed to Iraq.
