And he indicated, "The snowfall in northern Iraq has not yet exceeded 25 percent, compared to what it fell for the same period last year."
He pointed out, “There are indications of rain and a flood in northern Iraq on the 28th of this month, specifically in northern Nineveh, Salah al-Din and Kirkuk, which will be of great importance in increasing the water reserves of the Mosul and Haditha dams, to meet the water needs for the next summer season.”
At the same time, he talked about "taking advantage of the rainfall in the central and southern regions, in reviving the marshes, and securing water rations for the wheat and barley crops."
And Abdullah went on, that "the ministry has drawn up plans to secure the third irrigation of the wheat crop after the rains during the next month, and in the event that it does not rain, the water storage of the dams will be used."
In addition, the Meteorology Authority stated, in a statement received by (Al-Mada), that “the country’s weather today, Tuesday, will be clear in the central and northern regions with some clouds, while the weather in the southern region will be partly cloudy with an opportunity for rain showers that are thunderstorms at times.
