Beijing warns Washington against continuing provocative actions in the South China Sea
The Chinese Ministry of Defense warned the United States against continuing "provocative actions" in the waters of the South China Sea, and vowed to take positive steps if Washington does not stop its harassment.
"We insist that the US side stop these provocations ," said the ministry, in a statement published on Monday at its Wechat social networking site , which will closely monitor developments in the situation and take necessary steps when necessary, And will defend firmly the national security and sovereignty of the country. "
Earlier, Reuters reported that two American drone carriers, in clear defiance, on Monday near one of the islands of the Spratly archipelago in the South China Sea, penetrating the area that Beijing regards as its territorial waters.
