Iran welcomes FATF deadline to reform money laundering laws

Iran's central bank on Saturday welcomed the decision by the International Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to grant Tehran until June to reform anti-money laundering and terrorist financing laws.
The Central Bank said in a statement that it hoped to resolve the parties concerned in Iran, draft laws against the financing of terrorism and money laundering as soon as possible.
It is noteworthy that the Islamic Consultative Council (parliament) approved in principle the draft law, which was referred to the complex to diagnose the interest of the system to resolve the dispute between the Parliament and the Council of Guardianship, where the latter on the drafts.
