The leader of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, General Qassem Soleimani, said that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is "indebted" to the survival of his regime to support the Iranian regime.
Sulaimani said during a speech in the city of Qom that "the blessing of the Iranian revolution was established Islamic movements in the region and won in Palestine .. And if Bashar became the champion of the Arab world, thanks to his reliance on the Islamic regime," as he claimed.
"What happened in Syria came thanks to Tehran's support," he said.
Qasim Soleimani described Bashar al-Assad's visit to Tehran as "a bomb in the region."
Bashar al-Assad visited Tehran last Monday, where he said the guide Ali Khamenei during his reception that "the latter became the champion of the Arab world because of its steadfastness in the war in Syria."
Tehran has supported money, arms and fighters to Assad's regime in its war against the opposition.
