Yunus added that "the ministry succeeded in rehabilitating refineries of Kirkuk and Qayara, Haditha, Al-Kassak and others." He pointed out that "the refineries of the South will witness an increase in production before the end of this year after the operation of a number of new production units."

Yunus revealed that "the talks conducted by the Ministry to establish the refinery of Faw in the province of Basra with a capacity of 300 thousand barrels contributes to the transformation of Iraq to the country of origin of oil derivatives."
