The British judiciary on Friday adjourned the hearing on the extradition of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to the United States in February 2020.

Assange's supporters rallied before the Westminster Court in London, demanding his release.

Interior Minister Sajid Javed said he had signed an order to extradite Julian Assange to the United States if British courts backed the move on Thursday.

Julian Assange, 47, was arrested seven years later at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, with the consent of Quito, on 11 April by the British authorities, who directly imprisoned him and then convicted him of 50 weeks' imprisonment on 1 May for violating the conditions Guaranty.

The US judiciary demands that he be extradited to the United States and charged under the Anti-Espionage Act. The Australian authorities accuse the Australian authorities of presenting some of their sources at risk, publishing in 2010 on the site "Wikileaks" 250 thousand diplomatic cables, and about 500 thousand secret documents on the activities of the US military in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Nils Melzer urged the British judiciary not to extradite Assange to the United States, fearing human rights abuses in Australia through the procedure.
