A member of the Board of Directors of the Iraqi Economic Council Baqir al-Mashat, Saturday, that the recent steps to prevent the import of a variety of materials, reflected positively on the production and marketing of the national product.
"The ban on imports is forcing many plant owners to recycle the production wheel, and local goods have started to exist strongly in the markets," Mashat said in a statement received by Mawazine News.
He pointed out, "the importance of the government to activate the file of investment in the industry through actions that contribute to attract investors and capital."
"The other thing is protecting the national product, including banning the importation of hundreds of locally manufactured goods," he added.
He pointed out that "all these factors will push the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to create 38 investment opportunities between new and old."
