    Information / Baghdad ..
The head of the Rusafa Investigation and Money Laundering Court criticized Judge Iyad Mohsen Damad on Thursday, inspector general of the Ministry of Interior Jamal al-Asadi on the deal "Mitsubishi", noting that his office caused a big media buzz about it and then asked to close it, while confirming the continuing investigation of the case.
Damad said in an interview with the newspaper "Judiciary", which is issued by the Supreme Judicial Council and saw him / information /, "The subject of Mitsubishi, is the contract of the Ministry of Interior to buy cars for the ministry of a company," pointing out that "investigations conducted by a general inspector "The interior showed that there are suspicions of corruption in the contract and exaggeration in the prices of buying the agreed cars."
He added, “On this basis, our court issued orders to bring in and arrest warrants against the members of the committees responsible for contracting, but we were surprised to receive a letter from the Office of the Inspector General in the Ministry of Interior itself requesting the closure of the investigation due to an amendment to the contract and a new negotiation on the purchase prices of cars. The deal was done and the cars were bought despite the huge media outcry created by the inspector general's office in the satellite channels, which disturbed public opinion and raised his questions about the case, but he returned and asked to close the investigation.
"Our court is continuing its investigations to uncover financial corruption, whether in the first or second transaction, and referring the accused to the competent courts if the investigation proves that there is enough evidence to refer," Damad said. Done / 25
