The governor of Dhi Qar warned medical staff against neglecting patients and failing in duty.
This came during a surprise night visit to the Hussein Teaching Hospital, accompanied by his deputies, on Thursday evening.
A statement by his office, " [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/70169/%D8%B9%D8%A7%D8%AF%D9%84 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AF%D8%AE%D9%8A%D9%84%D9%8A][size=13]Adel al-Dukhaili[/url] inspected a number of departments to follow up medical services provided to citizens and the presence of medical and nursing staff and the availability of medicines and medical supplies necessary."
He added, "Al-Dukhaili moved in the corridors of the hospital and I hear a full explanation from the Director General of Health, the hospital administration and the medical staff to identify the needs of the hospital to provide them in coordination with the Ministry officials."
He urged health workers to "provide the best medical and therapeutic services to patients," stressing "the accountability of those responsible for any negligence or failure in the duties assigned to them."
